Biography:

Caron-Ann started her career in Burlington’s where she was part of the Burlington’s artistic team and helped produce many fashion shows. In 1995 she began working at Stuart Phillips Salon.
Caron-Ann has now been a qualified hairdresser/technician for twenty five years and an original member of the Stuart Phillips team; she is now the salon’s Creative Technical Director, performing award winning work, gaining accolades from the L’Oreal Colour Trophy and the British Hairdressing Awards. Caron-Ann is a graduate with a much coveted L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree. Her expert hands are in high demand and are responsible for many transformations on clients from the TV, Film and Music industry.

Question:

What is your favourite animal and why?

Answer:

Cats, especially rescued cats, because they are independent, good listeners and give amazing cuddles when you’re sad. All you have to do is feed and love them!

Christina
Christina

Biography:

Christina started hairdressing at the age of 14 as a Saturday girl (in her local hair salon) after leaving school she started a three year apprenticeship at Stuart Phillips salon. Within a year she became head junior and shortly after qualifying Christina decided to move towards colouring and styling hair. Four years later she became the salon manager helping Stuart run his busy salon. Christina has now been with Stuart Phillips salon for 13 years.

Question:

Although you live in London, if you could choose another city to live in, which city and why?

Answer:

I would move to Sydney Australia, because the sun is always shinning and you have a beach right on your door step.

Mitz
Mitz

Biography

Mitz is an international hair stylist originating from Japan where he was a leading stylist in Tokyo. There his work was regularly published in Japanese hair and beauty magazines, as well as winning such accolades as the Japan cup at the Tokyo championship. His outstanding work has led him to travel from one hemisphere to another styling his clientele throughout Europe. Mitz settled in London in 2002 where he joined and became a valued member of the Stuart Phillips team. Mitz is the salons artistic director Mitz is the innovator of the Yuko system at Stuart Phillips salon, introducing this wonderful service to our clients and staff having worked with Yuko for 15 of his 25 years in the hair industry.

Question:

If you had the choice to own any car, which car and why?

Answer:

Aston Martin DBS, because I love bond films.

Jules hairdresser at Stuart Phillips
Julian

Biography

Julian started his apprenticeship in his local town of Loughton by qualifying in cutting and specializing in colour and from there decided to make the big move by finishing his barbering training at Vidal Sassoon.
After qualifying Julian travelled to Greece and continued hairdressing, then continued his travels to Sydney, Australia.
After returning from Australia Julian worked in a salon in the city, after a couple of years he decided to take his talent on a Steiner Cruise ship as he loved to travel.
After Julian’s return to London and for his love of Covent Garden he began to work for Cooper’s salon.
Three years later Julian made the move to Stuart Phillips salon, where he has been part of team for 20 years.

Question:

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Answer:

Bequia in the grenadines because it’s almost perfect.

Daniel
Daniel

Biography

Daniel started his 3 year apprenticeship in a local salon in Gillingham, Kent. After qualifying and watching Charles Worthington at a hair seminar Daniel decided to work for him at one of his London salons furthering his training even more and then becoming a fully qualified stylist. Daniel enjoyed his time there especially as he worked with some fantastic people.

In 1995 Daniel moved over to Stuart Phillips salon working with Stuart from the first day of opening.

Over the years Daniel has worked with Stuart on many salon events as well as building up a large and loyal clientele base.

Question:

If you could time travel which era would you go to?

Answer:

I would go back to LA in the mid-seventies, as a drought led to people not being able to fill up their backyard swimming pools, so when the waves in the sea went flat the local surfers skateboarded these beautiful empty pools leading to an explosion in what was thought possible on a skateboard!

I would also like to drop in on one of Jimi Hendrix gig’s and most importantly to find my younger self reminding me to use plenty of sunblock.

Dale

Biography:

Dale’s first hair dressing experience was a Saturday job in a couple of local barbers from the age of 12.
Dale started working full time at Stuart Phillips straight out of school aged 16; he is home grown talent at Stuart Phillips.
Dale has successfully completed NVQ 1, 2 and 3, L’Oreal colour keys course, Yuko hair straitening and hair extension training during his apprenticeship at Stuart Phillips.
He has now been at Stuart Phillips for over 18 years and is now an Artistic team member and has participated in most of Stuart’s projects and events, including; styling hair at the BAFTA’s, The British Soap Awards, The British Comedy Awards and many other events.

Question:

What are your favourite activities to keep fit?

Answer:

I love practising martial arts and weight training in the gym, I also love trekking.

Karen
Karen

Biography

Karen started her hairdressing career at 16 with Molten Brown in South Molten Street, London. The salons philosophy was hair to be natural and healthy.
She progressed to become assistant manager but after a few years felt the need for another challenge. Around the same time Karen was lucky enough to meet Stuart and decided to continue her career at his new London salon. Karen has now been part of the Stuart Phillips salon for over 21 years!

Question:

What do you like about London?

Answer:

I like the diversity of the people and they seem to take more of a chance when it comes to creative business ideas!

Lara Photo
Lara

Biography

Lara started her career by training at Splinters collage of Mayfair and then worked in numerous salons in Surrey becoming a trainer at Regis, training over 50 salons in the Southern region and doing stage work for salon International as part of the Regis artistic team.
Lara then joined the Headmasters team at Kingston, followed by the Rush salon group in Wimbledon and Fulham achieving a hair industry award.
In 2010 Lara joined the Stuart Phillips team where she continues being creative on many different projects. This has included working with Stuart on his well known YouTube videos showing the public different colouring skills (as Lara specializes in colour corrections).
She has also produced two 5 page spreads in the bite magazine showcasing avant-garde hair piece collections, as well as a full page feature including styling a models hair and being interviewed herself in Red magazine in collaboration with L’Oreal Professional.

Question:

If you could get your hands on any celebrity’s hair to give them a makeover, which would it, be and why?

Answer:

I would actually love to get my hands on the queen’s hair, to show woman of a certain age can look and feel chic without looking dated.

Natalie
Natalie

Biography

Natalie Started her hairdressing career as a Saturday girl in a Steiner’s salon in Euston at the age 15, left school at 16 and started an apprenticeship at Vidal Sassoon on south molten street, London.
She Trained for 3 years eventually specialising in colouring and perming and worked at all of the London salons for Sassoon’s, this included short stints in their Manchester and Munich salons.
After 5 years at Sassoon’s Natalie decided to travel the world and so for the next 18 months this is exactly what she did.
After Natalie’s return she worked in a casino as a croupier but realized that her talents were going to waste so she decided to join Stuart Phillips salon, where once again she could create her magic.

Question:

Where do you like to socialize after work?

Answer:

Covent Garden hotel, because it has a nice and relaxing vibe and everyone there is nice, polite and very welcoming.

Ellie
Ellie

Biography:

Ellie left school at 16 and began an apprentice at the Trevor Sorbie salon in London. She worked there for 2 years then decided to move to the Stuart Phillips salon in order to finish her last year of training.
Ellie has now been part of the Stuart Phillips team for over 14 years and in this time she has contributed her talents towards photo shoots and many award ceremonies.
Ellie loves making people feel like a million dollars and enjoys cutting, colouring and creating hair-up styles.

Question:

What is your favourite restaurant and do you have a favourite dish?

Answer:

Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant, favourite dish is a Ham burger with polenta chips.

Debbie Woods
Debbie

Biography:

Debbie began her hairdressing career at the age of 14, starting in Belfast’s leading hair salon Stafford hair (4 times award winning) northern Ireland salon of the year, working part time for 3years completing her school education and hairdressing apprenticeship. She then decided to take a chance in the hairdressing industry and postpone going to university to later in life.

In 2009 she continued to work for the salon for three more years as a stylist and colour technician managing a busy column of clients working all over Ireland for fashion shoots, shows, assisting Ireland’s Schwarzkopf ambassador all over Ireland for educational seminars, teaching workshops and attending the needs to brides across the country.

In 2011 to further her hairdressing education she started to attend educational courses at Vidal Sassoon academy completing courses in creative cutting and colouring which help spark her decision to move to London in 2012 where she worked for a well-known London salon and experienced working in London fashion week for top brands such as Burberry and Margret Howell, whilst also traveling to New York and assisting working with supreme agencies models for new fashion week.

In 2013 she decided after having a strong passion for education started working for the company Saco hair, renowned for its education internationally, this is where Debbie perfected her precision cutting and also experienced the ways of how to teach others, this is where she worked on various hair shoots for Selfridges and shows such as salon international.

In 2017 she decided to make the move to Stuart Phillips specialising in cutting, colouring and hair up helping all my lovely clients achieve their hair aspiration’s whilst still getting evolved in fashion shoots and shows!

What is your personal life goal?

Answer:

To try and visit almost every country in the world, I love new experiences learning about different cultures and  discovering new places!

Alex

Biography:

Alex was introduced to the hairdressing industry at the age of 15 where she began working at the salon Strandz as a Saturday girl until she left school. Alex then worked for the Tony Adem salon in Ilford until the age of 17.
Alex’s next move was to begin a three year apprenticeship at the Stuart Phillips salon.
After she received her qualifications from Stuart and also gaining her NVQ level 1,2 and 3 she progressed into a fully qualified hairdresser.

What is your favourite make-up product and why?

Answer:

Fake tan as it makes me feel like I’ve just come back from holiday

Santana
Santana

Biography:

In 2011 Santana began a three year apprenticeship at the Stuart Phillips salon. After qualifying Santana decided that she would prefer to work as part of the reception team and front of house.

Most recently Santana has become the salons assistant manager helping Stuart and Christina run the busy Covent Garden salon.

For the past two years Santana has very much enjoyed her new role in the salon.

Question:

Who is your favourite music artist and why?

Answer:

J. Cole, because his music is very inspirational.

Darry

Biography:

Darry started her career at the London college of fashion when she was 16 and acquired her level 2 diploma.

At the age of 17 she studied hairdressing for a year gaining her level 1 NVQ qualification.

Darry then joined the team at Stuart Phillips salon and studied hairdressing for 4 years, where she was trained by Stuart and his team.

During her training, she assisted styling the hair for many photo shoots and YouTube hair tutorials.

Darry also received her NVQ level 2 and 3 qualifying from Joshua Galvin hair academy and then becoming a stylist at Stuart Phillips Salon.

Question:

When you’re not cutting hair, what do you like to do?

Answer:

I am a TV addict, it’s all about the box sets!
