Here are this Summers looks provided by Caron Ann Beaumont, technical creative director for Stuart Phillips.

Countless celebrities and trend setters patiently wait each season for the latest hair colour and styles to be forecast which give the looks to be seen with and the colour techniques to finalise their total look.

You too can be in with the in crowd this spring summer just by following our run down on what the season’s must have looks are all about.

Inspiration is conjured up from the elements. Ranging in shades from the warmth of a tropical sunset to the coolness of a moonlit lake. Worn in soft hues and gentle blends. These tones will create an essence of minimalism and reflection.

FOR BRUNETTES

For brunettes eastern promise with sensual shades in burnished tones of amber, ground cinnamon and caramelised sugar layered or woven through iced mocha or rich cocoa. (Image)

Caron Ann says if you are a natural brunette the most important rule is never try to lighten your hair yourself. Lifting your natural colour even a few shades and to take your hair through the complex process needed to achieve the final look takes both time and skill.

If your hair is naturally black and wish to lighten your hair, shades of brown or some of the warm shades for this season will work well. Taking some of these colours through your hair will add a new dimension.

FOR BLONDES

For blondes – Desert Dreams with shades of Dusty Sands in pale soft tones to create a rippling Sahara gentle and natural.(Image)

Caron Ann says be aware of your skin tone. Choosing the right colour can depend on whether you are cool or warm. Cool tones should stay with Ashen and Beige shades whilst if you are warm, soft coppers and golds are best.

ALTERNATIVE CHIC

Our final look is the alternative chic. These low key yet dramatic shades are a reflection of a pebble beach in soft ashen tones that range from coal to cool chocolate to shimmering silver blond – either blended together in dramatic layers or gently woven for a more natural feel. You will be the perfect ice maiden.

1. Easy yet swept together rather than scrapped back ponytails will stand out this season.

2. Styles that featured sharp fringes are out. The hair should now be parted on the side with a sweeping fringe. This places a strong impact on the face.

3. Easy unkempt hair as well as twisted and braided styles will be the signature for spring/summer.
