Caron Ann says if you are a natural brunette the most important rule is never try to lighten your hair yourself. Lifting your natural colour even a few shades and to take your hair through the complex process needed to achieve the final look takes both time and skill.

Caron Ann says be aware of your skin tone. Choosing the right colour can depend whether you are cool or warm. Cool tones should stay with Ashen and Beige shades whilst if you are warm, soft Coppers and Golds are best.
